Starting out as an advertising copywriter, I have been Creative Director of a number of renowned agencies – from start-ups to global agencies. I’ve worked in the UK and have international experience as Global CD on Nokia Networks and European CD on General Motors. My work has been recognised with over 30 industry awards including Campaign Direct, Cannes Lions Direct, Caples, D&AD, Direct Response, DMA, ECHO, EPICA, the Marketing Society, the Smart Awards, the MCCA Best Awards, the Marketing Intelligence Awards, EFSP & ISP.
I’ve lectured on copywriting, tone of voice and other industry topics at LCP and Bucks College, and have run integrated workshops for D&AD, the DMA and ISP. I created and helped run the DMA’s Sharpen Up copywriting workshop, which ran for over 12 years. I was a judge for the DMA Awards for over 10 years, and I’ve sat on juries for D&AD and Campaign Big Awards.
Over the years, I’ve worked across most sectors and in every kind of media from TV and radio to print and outdoor; direct marketing, ambient, on and offline, including eDM, app development and website creation. I was an early adopter of digital and it’s second nature to me as part of any project.
I’m interested in working with agencies, direct with clients and on consultancy opportunities where I can add strategic and creative value from the beginning.
